We got rained on in the rainforest...
...and I spent three days with my hair in pigtails. Need I say more?
We're home and happy, but I'm too tired to remember everything I wanted to write. In the meantime, I uploaded photos.
Heck, even I'm jealous looking at them.

I'll bet it had something to do with:
*) the way that gas is rounded to the 7/10th of a cent instead of 9/10ths;
*) the way that gas is measured in liters, but the speed limit is still in MPH;
*) fritters, especially that coconut-almond one;
*) the GPS system trying unsuccessfully to speak Spanish, instead sounding possessed;
*) cockfights;
*) the dancing couple from the Christian singles group;
*) the really crappy PR rum, mixed with the really crappy (for your tastes) fruit juice;
*) the frightening number of Church's Chickens in suburban PR, considering the number of chickens to be found street-side in suburban PR;
*) the kayaking;
*) the mornings on the beach;
*) the whirlpool;
*) how there's only five more weeks of winter now, and then spring is here, and how we're all going to be able to get through the next few weeks a little easier now.
Thank you two for a wonderful escape from Chicago -- God, I needed that. Next time, though, let's use a different rental car company. What maroons.
Hey, did you steal my blog notes?!
:)
Oh, yeah. One more thing.
Mongooses.
Mongeese.
Mongi.
More than one mongoose.
Cockfights?
Nevermind, don't tell me. You'll just ruin the visual for me.
We got yer postcard today. Sounds like it was awesome.
And I'll see you in one week! Yay for South Bend being between Toledo and Chicago!
